There has been a slate of crimes in Johor recently, with the latest being two kidnappings in the space of just one week, Shin Min Daily News reported.
Singaporeans visiting Johor should avoid these 10 crime spots.
From last year, the Malaysia police have set up 25 sentry points at these crime focal points. Through 24 hours surveillance, they hope to instill a sense of confidence in the public and stop criminal activities.
Johor police chief Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff once said that only 0.02 percent of Singapore visitors are affected by crime. However, as a precaution, Singaporean visitors should continue to exercise caution when visiting Johor, especially when visiting these places.

dear singaporeans, we deeply apprecciate if you could just stay back in Singapore as the crimes rate are much lower there

No statistics to compare again and its just perception. A local resident was told by Singaporean friends that JB is unsafe and sang the same tune with them. However she did not experience any crime while staying for the last 30 years here since migrating from KL , till she went on a tour in Paris and was robbed.. What an irony. With this article adding insult to injury caused by the toll hike , Singapoeans will stay away for a while until they cannot take the feeling of being confined any longer, then they will come back to JB with a vengeance.
With the top 10 spots…think all areas where the action is are covered. In short, everywhere is not safe. So better not come to JB then. Very dangerous and scary isn’t it?

Although I find this article helpful, I also find it distasteful as there is no respect given to Johoreans. If it’s so dangerous then why are we going there in the first place? Just leave everything to fate. Most importantly when we go to any country we have to RESPECT their ground. So stay humble and don’t go in with that typical snobbish Singaporean attitude. We should be grateful that they are still welcoming us with open arms despite what ever “violence” thats going on there.
Skudai is so wide. Pls b more specific which part.
